About Event:
Robotics is the area of research that involves the design,
fabrication and applications of robots. A robot is an electro-mechanical device
that can cause a change in the surroundings and it operates by its actions.
These actions may be controlled by a human operator or may be autonomous.
Robots can sense their environment through sensors of various modules. Research
is pursued world-wide to develop intelligent robots that are able to analyze
the sensed data and make intelligent decisions on their own. Robotics is
inherently interdisciplinary in nature and is a confluence of techniques and
technologies originating from the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical and
Computer Engineering. This workshop fundamentally deals with designing various
kinds of electronic sensors and circuits and designing an autonomous robot
using the different sensor without using a Microcontroller. This module would
be utilized to familiarize the students with the concepts of designing and
building a small robot that is capable of performing multiple tasks such as
- Manually controlled Robot
- Obstacle Detector and avoidance
- Line follower Robot (without controller)
