Workshop theme:
Economic theories associated with demand estimation and production functions
have long been analysed using econometric techniques, since the origin of the
subject econometrics. Statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS come in handy to
help analyse the time series and panel data available for demand estimation and
efficiency analysis.
The workshop will provide a general and brief outline of some of the important models associated with demand analysis and production functions found in the literature. There will be hands on training with a data set using the econometric package STATA. Emphasis will be on learning ‘STATA’ and use it efficiently to work with the data.
