About Event:
The practice of integrating renewable energy sources to power system grid is increasing in large amount worldwide since diminishing of coal resources, global warming and increasing load demand. However, continuous and expanded growth of renewable energy in existing grids require an effective new approach for grid management. Though existing grid systems already incorporate elements of smart functionality, it mostly concentrated to balance the power supply and demand. Smart grid incorporates information, communication and instrumentation technologies
into every aspect of electricity generation, delivery and consumption in order to minimise environmental impact, enhance markets, improve reliability, reduce costs and improve efficiency. As penetration level of renewable energy increases in the power grid, it becomes more important and emergency to understand the technical challenges to retain its integration with grid.

The program objective is framed to attract Faculties/research scholars of Academic Institutions and Field Engineers to make them familiar on grid integration and smart grid. Participation of Electrical students (UG/PG) can acquire and update their recent information on renewable energy, smart grid and reasons & solutions of major power issues.
To make the program interesting and informative, resource persons are planned to arrange from industries like Schneider Electric, ABB, CPRI and renowned academic institutes.
