Renewable energy is one of the conspicuous sources of energy which can support to increasing demand of energy in current scenario of India. The solar photovoltaic and wind energy conversion projects include power electronics with high quality performance devices, incorporated with smart energy management principles. Recent research and development of power converters and its intelligent controller helps to enhance the performance and facilities with optimal power management of generation and utilization.
To provide insight to the participants, this program intends to present concepts of advanced power converters, importance of energy storage systems and research challenges. Moreover, the real time integration of energy storage system to high power solar PV conversion system application is addressed with hands-on training using PSCAD and PSIM softwares.
OUTCOME
• Realize the importance of the research and development in the renewable energy systems.
• Provide a suitable research platform for young researchers to address the challenges related to solar energy systems.
