ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Global Economic growth has contributed to a dramatic rise in world energy demand. The combustion of fossil fuel for electricity leads to emission of greenhouse gases and in turn it will fuel climate change. Even though, the renewable energy methods are effective to some extent, due to their intermittent nature, the reliability and interoperability issues exist in power network. It is hoped that, with innovation in smart grid and energy storage technology which will accelerate the development and also enhances sustainability. This approach gives the opportunity to promote sustainable, competitive and smarter energy choice. It can open new pathways towards global energy demand. While important progress has been made in deployment of energy efficient technologies, the challenges related to development, design, integration, operation, management and optimization, technical, legal and economic aspects need to be addressed.
Thus this seminar will provide a glimpse of emerging trends in smart grid and energy storage technology.
